IMPTOX is a member of the European research cluster to understand the health impacts of micro- and nanoplastics (CUSP). The cluster consists of five projects IMPTOX, AURORA, PLASTICHEAL, PLASTICSFATE and POLYRISK, all publicly funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 framework programme. The aim of this collaboration is to create research synergies, to ensure that research approaches are harmonized and that results are comparable. Each one of the five projects will focus on different aspects related to MNPs and health, while all of them will collaborate on analytical methods, exposure assessments, inter-lab comparisons, representative materials and data exchange.
CUSP research results will contribute to the European Union’s regulatory framework by providing new evidence for better preventive policies.
