Promoscience
Promoscience is an SME spin-off of SISSA–International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste, Italy. It was founded in 2004 by a team of researchers specialised in exploring the requirements of the scientific community, perfecting knowledge transmission strategies, and developing adapted content management systems. The company develops innovative web-based software for sharing objectives, managing projects, and spreading results among scientific communities. It merges innovative thinking and highly creative design competencies with fundamental skills and techniques of science communication in order to provide research projects with original branding strategies. It has remarkable experience in information architecture design, as well as in creating attractive and user-friendly web portals. Promoscience furthermore holds solid experience in the implementation of effective communication, dissemination, and exploitation plans in the framework of cooperative R&D projects at the international level, and has provided a considerable number of projects within FP6, FP7, and H2020 framework programs with its know-how, services, and tools.
is the Managing Director of Promoscience. He is an electronic engineer specialized in clinical engineering. He has experience in the development of ICT tools for scientific and IP document management, in the design and development of innovative information architectures and systems for science communication, the management of technology transfer and R&D programmes, business intelligence analyses, and data visualization.
is a communication expert at Promoscience. She is a biologist, with a PhD in Genetics. She is also specialized in the Management of Technology, in Project Management, and in Science Communication. She is a science writer and a communication expert with experience in developing content and organizing communication and dissemination activities for the scientific community. Prior to these activities, she was a researcher in the field of molecular and stem cell biology.
is an anthropologist with degrees in the social sciences from the University of Vienna, Georgetown University (U.S.), and the London School of Economics, where she had also initiated her PhD in social and cultural anthropology. She joined Promoscience in March 2021, where she collaborates in the area of science communication.
